This workshop begins with haiku and leads into longer poems by looking at the practice of focusing on images when writing poetry.  Haiku resources will be considered, and we will take an in-depth look at well-known imagistic poems. Find out how writing haiku regularly can be useful when writing in other genres. This supportive workshop is suitable for beginning poets and established poets alike. Plenty of writing prompts willbe offered. Limited to 17 participants.

Price includes two nights’ lodging, home-cooked meals, and workshop. Saturday afternoon will be reserved for re-creating: you may enjoy hiking, swimming, kayaking, and/or canoeing, or you can just relax/write/read/rest in this beautiful Adirondack setting.
