Yoga and the Five Elements Retreat
Description
Step out of the noise of daily life and into the living intelligence of nature.
Join us for a weekend of yoga, reflection, and connection with nature. This immersive weekend retreat is centered around the five elements—space, earth, fire, water, and air—and how they live and move within us and around us. Through thoughtfully paced yoga practices, reflection, and time in the wild landscape surrounding Pyramid Life Center, you’ll be invited to slow down, reconnect, and restore your natural rhythm.
Each day we will explore one or more elements through embodied yoga practices, simple teachings, and invitations to connect directly with the land, water, light, breath, and silence around you. Rather than overloading the mind with theory, this retreat emphasizes direct experience – feeling the elements in your body and your awareness.
This experiential approach supports not only physical movement, but a more holistic sense of health that includes digestion, energy, mood, and how we meet the pace of daily life. The elemental framework of the retreat draws from both yoga and Ayurveda, offering a simple, embodied way to understand balance, vitality, and connection without needing prior knowledge.
Each day includes time on the mat and time off it. Spacious pauses between sessions allow time for rest, reflection, and integration.
This retreat is an opportunity to reconnect with nature not as something outside of you, but as something you are part of and to carry that sense of steadiness, clarity, and connection back into your everyday life.
We’ll gather on Friday, July 17 at 5pm for an opening circle to arrive, settle, and set the tone for the weekend. Participants are welcome to arrive at Pyramid Life Center as early as 4pm.
Our time together will conclude on Sunday, July 19 at 12pm with a closing circle for reflection, integration, and honoring the connections formed with ourselves, one another, and the natural world. Participants may stay until 3pm to continue to commune and enjoy Pyramid Lake.
Who This Retreat Is For
No prior knowledge of yoga is required. This retreat is designed for practitioners of all levels who are looking to feel more connected to nature and aligned with its rhythms, while cultivating greater clarity, resilience, and ease. It’s especially well suited for those drawn to a holistic approach to health that weaves together movement, breath, nature, and self-reflection. The practices will include options for beginners as well as more advanced practitioners.
