Mary DeTurris Poust

Mary DeTurris Poust is a writer, retreat leader and spiritual director living in New York’s Capital
Region. She is the author of six books on Catholic spirituality, including Everyday Divine: A
Catholic Guide to Active Spirituality and The Essential Guide to Catholic Prayer and the Mass.
She has also written six books of seasonal Scripture reflections for Liturgical Press and is a
regular contributor to Give Us This Day. The former Director of Communications for the Roman
Catholic Diocese of Albany, Mary writes about the spiritual journey in her monthly column, Life
Lines, and hosts a podcast by the same name. She is the creator of Not Strictly Spiritual, a blog
and website now in its 16 th year, which is dedicated to helping people discover the Divine
present amid the mundane moments of everyday life. She and her husband, Dennis, have three
